How to remove laminate flooring?
Remove the skirting board: A hammer and chisel shall be used to remove this board. Nail out the board by pulling the nails out carefully, marking all the positions of the nails.
Preparation of the floor: Remove all the transition strips. The strips are screwed to the floor. Unscrew these screws and throw them away. They cannot be used again.
Lift the Laminate Boards: Slowly life the laminate boards by wiggling it back and forth using a flat bar. There could be a glue seal, and more force might be required.
Remove the Underlay: After lifting panels, check the condition of the sub-flooring. Underlay should be removed and replaced before the new flooring is installed.
Clean up: If your subfloor is perfectly clear, use a vacuum to clean up any splinters or dust.
